On July 17, 2025, my son-in-law, Ruben, fell over 20 feet from a ladder. It was a devastating accident that changed everything in an instant.

He’s currently in the hospital facing a long and difficult road to recovery after multiple serious injuries and surgeries. This fundraiser is being set up to support him, my daughter, and their family as they navigate the physical, emotional, and financial challenges ahead.

His injuries include:

    •    Broken left wrist

    •    Broken right wrist

    •    Facial fractures near the eye and sinus area

    •    Concussion

    •    Brain bleed (now stabilized)

Ruben is a devoted husband, a father to two teenage sons, and a stepdad to a young daughter. He’s always been someone who shows up for his family and community — now we’re hoping people can show up for him.

While he focuses on healing, the family is facing the added stress of covering everyday essentials like groceries, rent, travel to and from the hospital, childcare, and ongoing medical care. The costs are mounting quickly, and the uncertainty ahead is real.
