Rally for Ramona: Home Repair Fund

Could you please consider helping Ramona? Ramona and I (Jennifer) met when we both were working for a senior care facility in Indianapolis, Indianaabout 16 years ago. Over the years, she has grown to be a dear friend and really more like family to Jim myself and our kids. Ramona is experiencing extremely hard times and needs some help. She is 80 years old and has worked full time jobs her entire life in kitchens and was at her last position within the dietary service department at a long term care facility for 20 years. Unfortunately, due to health constraints, she recently had to stop working. She draws social security now, but the amount she receives leaves her unable to pay all of her bills even when she goes to her local food bank every Saturday to receive groceries. So replacing a furnace or doing additional home repairs is not possible. Her 37 year old furnace just went out and her mobile home is in dire need of repairs/maintenance to make it a safe and livable space. We have a group of volunteers who are happy and willing to donate their time to do the work needed. We need to restore heat with a new furnace and be able to purchase wood and supplies to replace rotted unsafe or completely lacking flooring as well as paint and do general repairs throughout. 100% of any funds raised will go to Ramona’s home improvements.
