Rally for Morgan: Help During Medical Hardship

Morgan Sheets is a devoted mom of four energetic boys (ages 12, 10, 8, and 5) who fill their days with baseball games, flag football, tennis, and barefoot adventures through Raleigh’s parks. They are loving, social, and full of life — and Morgan has always been their anchor.

Recently, Morgan was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cirrhosis, a life-altering condition that requires ongoing medical monitoring, lifestyle changes, and stability. Her Medical Provider has prepared Morgan that in the near future she will likely need a liver transplant.

Morgan is doing everything she can to get back on her feet — including preparing to re-enter the workforce for the first time in a decade. But without local family support or affordable childcare, she’s caught in a painful loop: she can’t work until she can afford help, and she can’t afford help without work.

To make matters more challenging, her parents — who love her dearly — are doing all they can from afar while managing their own serious health needs. Her father undergoes regular dialysis and her mother is his full-time caregiver awaiting hip surgery. They simply cannot meet the growing financial needs Morgan now faces on her own.
