Over the past six months, Michael "Melch" Melchione has unfortunately fallen extremely ill and now requires intense medical care.

He has braved an extended stay at various hospitals over this period, and is now residing back at home with part-time in-home care.

Due to his condition, he is required to commute and receive Dialysis treatments three times per week, and be on strict medical provisions.

Melch has built his roots within the Aquidneck Island community throughout his entire life, from his two children, and through his devotion to the Newport Rugby Football Club.
