Hi, my name is Mary and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved brother, Malcolm. Six months ago, Malcolm’s life changed forever when he was involved in a horrific car accident.

Malcolm was in cardiac arrest when he arrived at the hospital; he had to have immediate surgery to reconstruct his diaphragm. The trauma was overwhelming—his injuries included multiple broken bones and most tragically, the loss of one of his legs. He’s already undergone several major surgeries and has spent the last six months in the hospital.

Malcolm is stable and ready to be transferred to an acute rehabilitation hospital where he can begin the next phase of healing: learning to move again, regaining strength, and preparing for life with a prosthetic. He’s facing a long and difficult road to recovery and unfortunately, this specialized care is expensive, and insurance doesn’t cover all of it. We’re asking for your help to raise $50,000 to cover admission to an acute rehab facility and ongoing medical expenses not covered by insurance.

Malcolm is a fighter, and he’s come so far already. But he can’t do this alone. Every donation—no matter the amount—brings us one step closer to getting him the care he needs and deserves.
