Rally for Kelly: Aid His Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hey y’all…
Everyone here knows my family isn’t usually the ones to ask for help, but I’ve decided the ask is definitely needed this time around. ❤️
On Sunday, July 20th, around 4:45 pm, Dad (Kelly) was in a freak accident where he had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
Dad (Kelly) was originally hopping in the Jeep to head to a chiropractic appointment, but upon putting the vehicle in reverse, he realized the kitten had gotten outside. While he was focused on that and getting the windows put down, he ended up forgetting to put the vehicle back in park after braking. By the time he came back from the porch after putting the cat inside, the Jeep had already started rolling backward to what he thought was going to be into the house and pool.
(Y’all know this man doesn’t typically do things like this, so unfortunately, it had to have just been in the cards that day.)
The Jeep literally ran him over by dragging him under, over railroad ties, and through the rosebush garden. The front driver tire slammed down onto and ran over both of his ankles, breaking the left one, crushing the right one, causing a tibial plateau fracture, a break above the knee in the right leg, and a crack in the fifth rib on his right side. Of course, plenty of rashes and plenty of bruises… but THANKFULLY, he is now home as of yesterday, July 24th.
Dad was unfortunately laid off from his last job a while back and upon finding work had to take a temp position and pay cut that he’s still in his probationary period with and will not receive pay for this week. Us kids, (Carol, Kaylin, Kassie & Chris) just wanted to create this GoFundMe for them because not only will they be missing a big piece of income for this situation but they’ll also have quite a few thousand in hospital bills.
A LOT of you have been asking if there is anything you can do to help, and at this time, this GoFundMe would be a perfect way IF you have the means to do so.
Times are hard and we ALL get that!
If all you can do is say a prayer for my parents, please do so. That, as you know, can make a WORLD of a difference. ❤️
A big thanks to all of you from us kids, who donate, have prayed, and will pray. We love each of you dearly and appreciate the help y’all have given or will give. We couldn’t be more thankful for the friends and family our parents have in their life. ❤️
