My name is Teri Garrod, and I’m reaching out not just for help—but for justice, truth, and a chance to bring my dad, Brent Garrod, home where he belongs.

OUR FAMILY IS IN CRISIS.

My father, Brent Garrod, has been a pillar of Charlotte County for over 40 years. As the proud founder of Garrod Drywall, he’s helped build this community—sponsoring countless Little League teams, helping struggling families, and providing work and opportunity to many. Now it’s time to give back to a man who’s done so much for others.

But today, he’s being kept from us, isolated, and we are in the fight of our lives—to protect him, to expose the truth, and to hold those responsible accountable.

⚖️ WHY WE’RE RAISING FUNDS:

    1.    Legal Expenses – We are currently fighting an unjust eviction. A judge has declared my father “incompetent,” refusing to honor his own words and wishes—including his clear decision to allow my son JJ to live on the property. We’re seeking the legal representation and expert support needed to challenge this ruling and restore my dad’s rights.

    2.    Barn Repairs – After fleeing an abusive and toxic household, my dad chose to move into a barn on the property to protect my children from his wife, Tina Garrod. We’re raising funds to repair and make the barn safe—the place he called home while shielding my kids from harm.

    3.    To Expose the Truth – This isn’t just about a home—it’s about a legacy under attack:

    •    Tina Garrod emotionally and physically abused my children.

    •    She cheated, manipulated my father when he became ill, and forced him to choose between her and his grandchildren. He chose the kids.

    •    She sold the apartment and pocketed the money meant for him.

    •    My sister, Brittany Garrod Tomlinson, and her husband, Eric Tomlinson—licensed mental health professionals—have stolen money, made threats against my son, and forged documents trying to sever my dad’s relationship with JJ.

    •    Money meant for employees at Garrod Drywall was diverted to pay their own mortgage.

Now, they are keeping us from speaking to or visiting my dad. A wellness check was conducted, and we were told he was in Indiana. He wasn’t. They lied.

Yes, we’re not a perfect family—I’m a recovering addict and have been to prison, but I’ve fought every step of the way for my children and for my dad. He raised my kids when I couldn’t. And now, together, we’re standing strong to raise him up when he needs us most.
