Rally for Ian: A Family's Unexpected Setback

I have worked with Ian for almost 10 years. If you look up the definition of “Salt of the Earth,” you will find his photo. He is a hardworking father and grandfather who consistently chooses to do the right thing regardless of how the cards are stacked against him.

He and his family were displaced recently due to the family sale of their land where they have raised their children in Sonoma, California. While Sonoma is a destination for a beautiful vacation for wine enthusiasts, it is getting more and more difficult for the locals to afford quickly inflating rent prices. Ian has scratched and saved every penny and managed to come up with his first month’s rent and security deposit and has even been approved for his new apartment. And just then, his car broke down.
