Request for Financial Assistance for My Daughter’s Ongoing Cancer Treatment
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Osmanova Meybullayeva Pervin,( but The aunt of the child who wrote this to you is Nigar Rzayev) and I am writing to you in the hope of receiving your kind financial and moral support in the battle for the life of my 1-year and 8-month-old daughter, Firangiz Tabriz qizi Meybullayeva.
On January 27, 2025, Firangiz underwent a “Transanal endorectal mass excision” surgery at Baku Medical Plaza Hospital. The excised tissue from the rectal wall was initially sent to the Customs Hospital for biopsy. However, for more precise diagnosis and differential analysis, the sample was forwarded to Hacettepe University Hospital in Turkey due to the recommendation for extended immunohistochemical staining.
The official diagnostic report from Hacettepe University confirmed that my daughter has Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of soft tissue cancer that requires intensive and specialized oncological treatment, particularly in infants and toddlers.
Upon receiving the diagnosis, we immediately turned to Bona Dea International Hospital in Baku, where we began her treatment under the supervision of Dr. Selime Aydoğdu. Prior to initiating chemotherapy, Dr. Selime advised that a PET/CT scan was essential, and we were referred to Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital in Turkey, where the scan was performed in March. Upon receiving the results, we returned to Baku and began chemotherapy without delay.
Currently, Firangiz is undergoing chemotherapy at Bona Dea Hospital. While the treatment is showing a positive response, our doctors have emphasized the absolute necessity of radiotherapy. However, due to Firangiz’s very young age, this procedure carries significant risks in Azerbaijan. Therefore, doctors have strongly recommended that radiation therapy be performed in a specialized oncology center in Turkey, where safer, age-appropriate treatment methods are available.
During this challenging time, our family has mobilized all available resources. Both my husband and I have taken out large loans from multiple banks. Additionally, my husband’s mother is also suffering from cancer, which has placed an even heavier financial burden on our household. At present, we are struggling severely to cover the ongoing treatment costs.
Doctors have given us hope, stating that if the treatment continues without interruption, there is a 70–80% chance of recovery. However, this requires continuous and accurate medical care, which we are now at risk of being unable to afford.
Therefore, I kindly and humbly request your financial support to help continue the treatment of my daughter, Firangiz Tabriz qizi Meybullayeva. Your assistance would not only provide financial relief, but also serve as a powerful light of hope in our darkest moments.
All relevant medical documents and test results are attached to this letter. Should any additional documentation be required, I am more than willing to provide it.
Thank you in advance for your compassion and understanding.
Sincerely,
Osmanova Meybullayeva Pervin
