Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out on behalf of my sweet 9-month-old niece, Delila, who has been fighting a serious respiratory illness since May 22. What started as a cold quickly turned into something much worse: pneumonia caused by human metapneumovirus (hMPV) — a virus that most people have never even heard of, but one that has turned her world (and ours) upside down.

She has been in the hospital ever since, and her recovery has been painfully slow. There is still no clear release date, and her parents have been by her side every single day, doing everything they can to support her — emotionally, physically, and financially.

This journey has taken a toll in every way imaginable. Medical bills, travel, food, and ongoing care are creating a heavy financial burden on the family. We’re asking for help so they can focus on what matters most: getting Delila healthy and home.
