Rally for Ally: Funds for Treatment and Family

Donation protected
Hello everyone,
I am creating this GoFundMe for my sister Ally. Ally is a 28 year old who is full of life. She loves working, going out with her friends, having fun, swimming, Mexican food, and her children. Ally has two kids- Karissa is a 10 year old girl, and Leo is a 5 (almost 6) year old boy. Ally solely relies on herself to pay for the expenses of her home, kids, and any bills that come her way. She is a single mom. She works as much as she can to try to provide the best life possible for her children. About 7 years ago, Ally was diagnosed with an arteriovenous malformation (aka AVM). She was in a coma for about 2 days, which is how we found out about it, once we took her to the hospital. She did not live with us, so we had no idea what was happening. She had a few treatments of Gamma Knife Radiation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Over the years, ally’s health has significantly gone down hill. She can not use the right side of her body properly as the tumor in her brain is on the left side. Over time, she has had a limp and has had to drag her leg. The left side of her face also started drooping. She was continuing to get severe headaches which finally made her decide to go to the hospital. She went to the Avita ER and they did scans on her, and sent us to the James Cancer Center in Columbus OH, where they found the tumor, which is the size of a tennis ball. The doctors have done multiple scans and diagnostics to see what was going on. They did do a biopsy, which we are waiting on the results still, to see what the best treatment option for her is. The treatment options could be anywhere from radiation, chemotherapy, or surgery to remove the tumor. In the meantime, she is at Mount Carmel Rehabilitation Center in Columbus. She has to completely relearn how to walk properly and form sentences correctly. We are hoping she will be able to return home in about 2 weeks. The tumor in her brain is called a glioblastoma, which is a very aggressive form of brain cancer, and is expected to have about 6-12 months. We are hoping to raise money for her children and her medical expenses. This will help take a lot of weight off of her shoulders. We are unsure how much her bills will come out to at the moment, but rehab, biopsies , IV medications and fluids, CT Scans and MRIs, and angiograms add up. Thank you!
