We are reaching out once again with heavy hearts and unwavering hope as our dear friend and family member, Alex Fenske, begins a new chapter in his fight.

Many of you may remember the GoFundMe we created years ago when Alex was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma, an aggressive and cancerous brain tumor that could not be removed. With treatments, resilience, and the incredible support of loved ones, Alex reached cancer-free status—a chapter filled with gratitude, healing, and more blessings than he and Karissa ever could have imagined.

Since then, life brought them some of their most beautiful moments:

✨ A sense of normalcy and hope that felt like a victory

Unfortunately, Alex’s cancer-free status has come to an end, and his fight begins again.

Earlier this week, Alex spent multiple days in the hospital undergoing MRIs and evaluations. Doctors have confirmed the heartbreaking news that his Anaplastic Astrocytoma has returned. Chemo and radiation have been recommended as the next course of treatment. As many of you know all too well, even with insurance, the financial strain of cancer treatment is overwhelming. Medical bills, treatment costs, travel, lost wages, and day-to-day expenses place an enormous burden on the family—especially with two little ones to care for.

Now, more than ever, Alex and Karissa need their village.
