Hey there! I’m Amanda, just a vendor neighbor turned life friend. I have created this fundraiser for 2 friends as I know they wouldn’t do it on their own. This fundraiser is for our Happy Fizz Family - Lauren, Jake, and their 2 daughters Riley and Logan.

Jake and Lauren’s lives changed in an instant after a dirt bike accident left Jake seriously injured. Within 24 hours of the accident, he had to undergo surgery for compartment syndrome, and they have been told to expect additional surgeries in the weeks and months ahead. Jake now faces a long recovery and will be unable to work for several months.

The timing has made an already devastating situation even harder. This accident happened just one week before Jake and Lauren were supposed to celebrate their wedding — a week that should have been filled with excitement, final preparations, and looking forward to beginning this next chapter together. Instead, their focus suddenly shifted to surgery, recovery, and figuring out how to keep their family going through everything ahead.

At the center of it all are their two little girls, just 2 years old and 6 months old. Their oldest has recently started preschool and is playing soccer, bringing all of the normal excitement, routines, and busy days that come with this stage of childhood. Their youngest is still just a baby. Jake and Lauren are doing everything they can to keep life feeling as normal and steady as possible for their girls while navigating a situation neither of them could have prepared for.

Along with raising their daughters and managing Jake’s medical care and recovery, they are also trying to keep their small business running with only one person able to manage everything. With Jake unable to work, more surgeries ahead, and a recovery expected to last months, the financial and day-to-day strain on their family is quickly adding up.
