Rake Playground

Rake hasn't had a playground for over 25 years. There is nowhere within walking distance for children to use; all playgrounds requiring a minimum of a 2 mile car journey to our neighbouring villages. Being a small border village on the periphery of county lines, we have been overlooked for many years, whilst neighbouring villages all have multiple and new playgrounds to use.

There has been a great community spirit to get the playground installed led by a working party of local parents. Due to a lack of funding we have had to split the installation into 2 phases & we're still about £25k short of what we need to install the full equipment.
