Rajive's Fight to Stay in the Only Home Known
Donation protected
Immigration is trying to send me back to a country I haven’t known since I was 5. I have no family there—everything I know and love is here. Please help me fight to stay.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Rajive Mohanlal, and I’m reaching out from a place of deep vulnerability. After nearly 30 years of calling the United States my home, I now face the terrifying possibility of being deported—torn away from the only life I’ve ever known.
I was brought to the U.S. from Trinidad & Tobago at the age of five. As a child, I didn’t understand borders or immigration laws—I only knew this country as my home. I grew up in New York, attended school, graduated, made lifelong friendships, and worked hard to build a stable life. This is the only place I’ve ever truly belonged.
Now, I’m being told I must return to a country I don’t know. I have no family, no home, and no support system in Trinidad. The idea of being forced to leave everything—my community, my memories, my future—is heartbreaking.
Why This Matters
This isn’t just about immigration paperwork. It’s about identity, belonging, and survival. I’ve spent my life here trying to do the right thing, but the system is complex and unforgiving. I’m fighting to stay in the only place I call home—but I can’t do it alone.
How Your Support Will Help

Paying for essential immigration expenses
This isn’t about asking for luxuries—this is about survival and the right to continue living in the place I’ve grown up, contributed to, and love deeply.

Thank You from the Bottom of My Heart

With sincere gratitude,
Rajive Mohanlal
