Raising to help a wonderful man fight for his life

Jim is married to his wife Alyce for 43 years. He has 9 children and has fostered 46 which he adopted 8 of them. He has several grand and great grandchildren. He has worked for the waste industry for 42 years as a mechanic. He is an avid hunter and fisherman. He loves doing fishing tournaments with his friend Rich and his son Anthony. He loves all outdoors. He can sit in a duck blind and not shoot a thing and be happy. He loves spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is very proud of his children and grandchildren and if you give him a minute he’ll take an hour and tell you all about them. He was born with hearing loss and anyone who knows Jim knows that you face him so he can read lips and talk a little louder than normal. He has accomplished his handicap and he keeps pushing forward. So there’s no way he will stop fighting his battle against cancer!

February 2020 Jim was diagnosed with an aggressive prostate cancer. Because of Covid he couldn’t have surgery until May. By then it had spread and half way into the surgery they had to stop. He then had 45 radiation treatments. He had 2 years of chemo shots and pills. March of 2023 the cancer returned and in December 2023 he found out it was in his bone. Because he has such an aggressive cancer there is nothing else they can do. They told him he has 2 years. The fundraiser is to help with past and future medical bills. He hasn’t given up and plans to prove the medical field wrong!
