Dads Raising their game for the children
Donation protected
We are a group of dads, of boys who all play grassroots football together @ TBYFC u8s whites . One of the dads suggested climbing a mountain but also raise funds on behalf of Fearless Fin.
We wear Fins logo on our kit every week with pride and remembrance of how strong and brave Fin was. some people have asked who is Fin and what is the connection between us and Fin, well lets tell you. so our manager (Jon) met Scott on a 24hour walk from London to Brighton to help raise money for a little girl they both know, a few years back. Soon after that Jon got to see Scott and family at a local party, this was the first time Jon had met Fin and his brother Ollie, and at this time Fin was a healthy 2 year old happy fun loving boy without a care in the world. Months down the line Jon had bumped in to Scott and found out that Fin had been diagnosed with leukaemia. Fin sadly passed away on 19th October 2022 aged 3 just 9 months after his diagnosis. The character Fin showed through out his treatment, always smiling, never complaining, brave, and fearless. His wonderful parents set up Fearless Fin to keep his memory alive. Fin would of be 5 years old, Ollie his brother aged 8 (years old)lost his best friend and we know how much work Ollie does to keep his brothers memory going by helping Colchester children's ward so we would like to help him keep up the great work.
we can't begin to imagine what its been like for Fins family. We'd like to help keep his memory living strong in our minds for ever.
If we could help raise funds for Colchester Children's ward on behalf of Fin and his family that would be amazing :) helping put smiles on faces of children that are going through tough times . There was a few charities to pick from but on a vote from the dads we went with Children's ward this time. we have set a target of a thousand pound and would like to give the money all to Colchester children’s ward
We as a youth football team our proud to play for Tendring borough youth football club in the under 8s age group as the Whites.
Our first season of our journey together creating friendships & memories for life. learning on the way a skill and how they will grow from young boys too young men. we would like to raise funds for future purchases with training equipment and team wear as we grow. but honestly if we wasn't able to raise anything , if we could achieve raising Fins memories and favourite colour green to the top of the mountain with your encouragement that would be job done .
Mark, Mert, Alex, Roy, Rory and Steve have chosen to climb Scafell pike in the lake district on Saturday the 26th of April this year, The highest mountain in England as novice climbers this will be a challenge but one we will get through together.
Big thank you from the team , for reading our story and thank you for donating if you have. It will go along way with hospital. we will give the funds for the hospital to Fins Family for them to pass on in the way they would like too, whether that will be buying toys or giving over the donation as one.
I personally would like to add, that this is dads lifting one and another. we have only know each other a short period of time, but we all have a common interest and that is the love for our children. we ourselves could have just put the money we spending on hiring minibus hotel ect to club account, but this is so much more then that. We want to support the memory of Fin, raise some presents for children's ward, support one another through this
