In September 2023 i unexpectedly lost my strong, amazing Mother to Myeloma Blood Cancer after a short and tough battle. My queen, an absolute warrior who fought harder than anything I imagined was humanly possible. An absolute inspiration and a huge space in my life and my heart that I struggle with everyday.

Myeloma is a hidden cancer that is rarely picked up on blood tests or scans. My Mom had CT scans, MRI scans, PET scans and every blood test possible which still did not show cancer. It was only a bone biopsy that picked this up that they did by chance after her vertebrae's and arms unexplainedly broke due to being so weak. Myeloma cancer is rare and is found in the bone marrow which is why it goes so undetected. This cancer is incurable yet treatable and on average people have 8 years with their loved ones. Early diagnosis is essential and devastatingly didn't happen for my Mom.

On the 15th September my loved ones and I will be taking part in the 10k wolf run to raise money for Myeloma Uk to support people and their families living with blood cancer.
