Raising money for local Grangetown Mosque, Masjid AbuBakr

Salaam wa alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

I am a Grangetown resident in Cardiff, I have been for the last 6 years and Masjid AbuBakr is my family’s local mosque. Established in 1986, the Grangetown Muslim Cultural Centre (Masjid AbuBakr) serves as a multipurpose hub, striving to meet the needs of our ever-growing community.

Due to the cost-of-living crisis in the UK, our mosque is facing financial challenges that affect both its present operations and future plans. I am determined, inshaAllah, to do my part to help raise funds and support the mosque in any way I can.

What better time to support this cause than during the holy month of Ramadan? Giving charity in Ramadan carries immense rewards and blessings, as it is a time when good deeds are multiplied and acts of generosity bring countless spiritual and worldly benefits.

Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

**أفضل الصدقة صدقة في رمضان**

"The best charity is the charity given in Ramadan."
