Hello everyone! My name is Grace Mayorga and I am fundraising money for the neighborhood elotero man, Don Luis Prieto, who lives in El Monte, CA. Don Luis is the most humble, sweetest, hardworking and down to earth person we know and he has been selling in the streets of El Monte for at least 20 years now. He came to California 23 years ago and has no family here because his family lives back home in a small pueblo in Veracruz, Mexico. He helps support his wife and 4 kids that live in Mexico. I know many people have been facing difficult times because of the pandemic and Don Luis has been one of them. Since there are many restrictions in place he hasn't been selling as much as he used to and not as many people want to buy from him. Even though he faces difficult times, he never complains and always thanks God for everything he has. Even at 71 years old he works 12 hours a day walking tirelessly through El Monte even in this heat! I am hoping to fundraise this money to help give Don Luis a nice surprise that is very well deserved! Please help support and any donation helps!
