Raising money for APS-1 & Matthew Thomas

Donation protected
This fundraising appeal supports the research and treatment of APS-1 (Autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome type 1) and specifically a young member of the Thomas family, Matthew Thomas. Matthew is 11 years old and was diagnosed with APS-1 at the age of 3.

APS-1 is a rare and life threatening genetic autoimmune disorder that causes a range of severe symptoms. Matthew undergoes daily treatment, including constant specialist medical supervision and regular hospital admission. Matthew faces this incredible challenge with amazing bravery and irrepressible humour - he is an inspiration to us all.

By donating to this fund, you will be providing vital funding to support Matthew’s future specialist medical needs as well as research into APS-1. A portion of the donated funds will be given to APS-1 research through the APS-1 foundation (https://apstype1.org/). In addition to supporting Matthew, your contributions to APS-1 research will hopefully improve the lives of many who suffer from this rare and life threatening illness.

Thank you for your generosity, it is hugely appreciated,

The Thomas family
