Raising LGBTQ support with the Bridgewater Rainbow Run
Tax deductible
We are a local robotics team working out of the Bridgewater-Raritan High School. Beyond just robots, Team 303 seeks to inspire diversity and STEAM in the community as part of our award-winning outreach programs.
On June 15th, from 9:00 A.M-2:00P.M. , our team will be holding the Bridgewater Rainbow Run at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School. The run is focused on bringing awareness to and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and is held in partnership with the Charlie Schulz Foundation. Each year, the team helps to raise funds for the Charlie Schulz Scholarship, ran in memory of Charlie Schulz, a transgender team alumnus who lost his battle against mental illness in his first year of college. Charlie, who believed “Everything is valid, except for bullying, invalidity, and pineapple pizza” was a positive presence in the lives of everyone he met, so the team looks forward to honoring his memory each year.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could make a donation to the Charlie Schulz Foundation in order to help fund the scholarship. The scholarship goes to students pursuing STEAM fields in college that are either LGBTQ+ or have struggled with mental health. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for the foundation, and every donation helps!
