It is with deep sadness that we have created this Gofundme for my younger sister Sarah. My sister and I were both born with Wilson’s Disease- a genetic disorder that causes excessive amounts of copper to accumulate in the body, making the liver deteriorate.

At age 14 Sarah received a liver transplant that saved her life but also brought a lifetime of hardship. Much of her life has been disrupted or put on hold due to complications caused by her liver transplant. She is now 41 and heart breakingly back in liver failure.

During Sarah’s best days she is an accomplished Doctor of Veterinary Medicine helping animals and their owners. Due to her ongoing health issues, she has been unable to work regularly throughout her life. After years of complications she is in dire need of a second life saving liver transplant.

The medical team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is diligently working towards getting Sarah a new liver. We are optimistically waiting and saying our prayers. We ask you please offer the same.

We are asking for any help with Sarah’s current and future medical bills and costs of living. We have set a current goal of $50,000 to help alleviate a fraction of the medical costs in hopes she can solely concentrate on her health.

We intend to use this page as a means of keeping all of our loved ones abreast of the quickly changing situation. We will continue to provide more information as it becomes available.
