Help us to restore the Broadhempston Tennis Court

Broadhempston is a picturesque village in rural South Devon with a population of circa 800 people. As a village, we have always fostered a strong sense of community and take pride in the vibrancy and enthusiasm this brings to the village.

We are raising funds to fully restore the Broadhempston Tennis Court located in the Headlands Playing Field. The court was originally built in the 1980s. After 15 years of community use, the playing surface, net and perimeter fence are worn and need replacing.

The perimeter fence has not been replaced since it was originally built in the 1980's and is in need of a serious facelift to avoid many a tennis ball flying through into the shrubbery.

The Headlands tennis court plays a key role in the Broadhempston community, bringing people of all ages together.

The resurfaced courts will continue to play a key role in the village and offer exercise for all ages now and for future generations.

The estimated cost to re-surface the court and replace the perimeter fence is around £30,000. The Broadhempston Trust, who manages the Village Hall and Headlands Playing field, have applied for a grant to the Valencia fund for the majority of funds but we need your help raising the £3000 initial contribution required.

So let’s make it Game, Set, Match to the Headlands Tennis Court, and ensure that our village has a quality tennis court for future generations to come!
