At Mother’s Hope CIC, we’ve had the privilege of serving over 60 families who found themselves struggling to provide the essentials for their little ones. What started as a few donations in a small room has grown into a lifeline for mothers, babies, and families across our community.

As the months passed, the referrals began to pour in from health visitors, midwives, and even church members. All sharing stories of families who needed urgent help. We quickly realized that the need was far more greater than ever. In order to serve these families effectively, we needed more space. That’s why we’re fundraising to fill the shelves and equip our warehouse to be a safe, organized hub where we can store, sort, and deliver hope in the form of baby essentials.

All we need now is your help to fill our shelves with nappies, wipes, bottles, clothing, toys, and weaning supplies, so no baby has to go without the basics every child deserves.

A FAMILIES STORY: SARAH NEW START

When Sarah became a single mother after fleeing a difficult home situation, she arrived in town near us with nothing but her newborn and a small suitcase. Her health visitor referred her to Mother’s Hope CIC. Within a day, she received an “emergency baby food kit” from us. Few weeks later, we received a note of thanks from Sarah which was such an encouragement for us to carry on supporting other families in need. She wrote :

“I remember opening the box and crying,” Sarah said. “It wasn’t just the emergency baby food kit i received from Mother’s Hope, it was the care. For the first time in weeks, I felt seen and supported.”

That small gesture gave Sarah the confidence to rebuild. Today, she’s back in work and volunteers with Mother’s Hope, helping pack baby bundles for other families in need.
