Hi, I'm Jonny, and in May 2026, I’ll be taking on HYROX South Korea to raise money for Volunteer for the Visayans (VFV).
HYROX is a demanding fitness race that combines running with functional workouts. It’s a test of endurance, strength, and mental resilience.
I’ll be training over the coming months to prepare for the challenge and raise as much as possible for this incredible charity.
All costs for the event, travel, and training are being self-funded.
This means every donation goes directly to supporting the work of VFV in the Philippines.
Your donation could have double the impact!
The Mace Foundation is supporting my fundraising through their match-funding programme. Meaning your donation could be doubled and go even further in supporting the work of Volunteer for the Visayans.
Why this charity matters to us:
In 2015, my wife Toni volunteered with VFV, working on their nutrition project in Tacloban. During that time, she supported community programmes focused on improving children’s health and nutrition.
Now we live in the Philippines, and each year we see how typhoons continue to impact communities across the Visayas. Storms regularly damage homes, disrupt livelihoods, and leave families needing support to rebuild.
Places like Tacloban have shown incredible strength and resilience, but recovery takes time and ongoing support.
Volunteer for the Visayans work alongside local communities to support health, education, and long-term wellbeing projects.
Supporting VFV through this challenge is a way for us to give back to communities that have already given so much.
