Raising Funds for Tony & Vicky Starkie

Donation protected
Hi, I’m raising money on behalf of my Mum & Dad (Tony and Vicky Starkie).

On the 24th of October only 3 days into their holiday and only hours before Tony & Vicky’s 38th anniversary Tony stepped outside of the rental van at the Yamba caravan park at approx 8pm looking up to see a 40m tree falling towards the van he just stepped outside of. With only micro seconds to think Tony dove back into the van where Vicky was laying in bed, when the tree crushed the van instantly destroying the very seats they only minutes ago sat in. Local residents of the caravan park rushed to help pull Tony and Vicky from the wreckage where they both suffered injuries from the damage dealt from the impact of the collapsing roof and other minor injuries from being removed from the wreck . If this holiday ending experience wasn’t enough of a experience to go through both Tony and Vicky woke the following morning to discover the van had been raided through the night, having upwards of 2-3k worth of items including bags, cash, glasses, jewellery and other belongings stolen. On top of that the insurance/hire company (although full comprehensive insurance was purchased) dusted there hands with any responsibilities of relocating or offering a hire vehicle leaving both Vicky and Tony stranded in Yamba, on top of that the hire company offered no refund on the remaining hire of vehicle. Altogether making what was suppose to be an amazing week away celebrating their love for each other an expensive and traumatic experience.

For anyone who knows Tony and Vicky knows exactly why I’m trying to raise funds. For those who don’t know Tony or Vicky they both are some of the most incredibly beautiful people you will ever meet, having blessed every person, environment, work place and community they touch. Sometimes pushing their own concerns aside for others. Why these things happen to such incredible people I don’t know but what I do know is the very least they deserve to regather some of money lost through loss of work, medical expenses, the items stolen and hopefully send them on an even more much needed and deserved holiday. Any donations would be immensely and greatly appreciated.
