At the end of January 2026, a group of 20 of us from Lower Sixth will be travelling to Brașov, Romania, with School Aid Romania, a charity that has been supporting communities there for over 25 years. The organization works with children and families living in poverty, as well as in orphanages, care homes, and schools, providing not only practical aid but also friendship, compassion, and hope.

During our time in Romania, we’ll be visiting these centres to deliver essential supplies, run activities for the children, and offer help wherever it’s needed. We hope to make a real difference through both the aid we bring and the connections we form with the people we meet. This trip is a unique opportunity to step outside our comfort zones, learn from another culture, and contribute meaningfully to the lives of others.

Each participant is working hard to raise their personal contribution to make this trip possible and to fund the resources we’ll take with us. Any donation—big or small—will go directly towards supporting these communities and ensuring that we can bring as much help as we can.
