We are raising funds and collecting equipment for Mary‘s maternity clinic in Rural Ghana.
A couple of years ago a fundraiser enabled us to buy medical equipment, equipment for birth and packs to Support new mums and babies.
We also collected items and boxed them up to send to the clinic.
All of this equipment was hugely appreciated and your money makes an extraordinary difference to Mary and all of the women and families she looks after, as ordinarily, their resources are extremely limited.
“ My name is Mary Otopah, a dedicated Senior Midwife with a deep passion for serving others. As a married mother of five, I bring both professional expertise and a nurturing spirit to my role as Midwife in Charge of the Maternity Unit at Noguchi Memorial Health Center.
Beyond my responsibilities in the maternity ward, I am committed to community health, particularly through my leadership of the Adolescent Health Club in the Tebag communities—Mankoadze, Onyadze, and Abrekum. My goal is to reduce teenage pregnancy by equipping young people with essential preventive healthcare knowledge and life skills.
I also have a strong personal interest in supporting individuals with disabilities. With compassion, leadership, and a deep sense of purpose, I strive to make a meaningful difference in every life I touch.”
We are running an event on Friday 13th June at New Oriel Hall in Larkhall, bath. If you are able to come along and meet Mary, hear a little more about the work she does and see pictures of her clinic, then we would love to see you there!
The event is free and we will provide Light lunch snacks and hot drinks as well.
