Support Craig through his Cancer fight.

Hi everyone,

Firstly I would like to thank each and everyone of u that has already donated to my fund raising for the pancreatic cancer uk charity. walk 31 miles in October and I have been out practicing for this xx

and I wouldn’t normally do something like this, and as Craig’s family we will endeavour to help out Financially as best as we can but don’t think we can do this on our own. I know that Craig has some really good people/friends out that that might want to help out no matter how small.

Craig didn’t think to take out critical illness insurance, even though he is self-employed Probably thinking nothing like this will happen, but you just don’t know what’s around the corner!!

As some of our friends and family are aware we have recently found out that my son Craig Butler has a Tumour at the head of his pancreas and also one in his Kidney, firstly he needs to have a whipple procedure which is Major abdominal Surgery and all being well with the op, has a recovery time of about 6 months. Once he has recovered from that operation he then needs to go back into hospital for another operation regarding the tumour in his kidney. He has a young family Florence age 4 and Arthur age 3 plus a beautiful partner Kay. During this process he will not be able to work for about a year so will suffer a major setback financially. After many different scans and a biopsy this is Craigs txt in his words………….

So I defo have an Neuroendocrine tumour on the head of the pancreas. They believe the tumour on the kidney is a different type and they believe I could have Von Hippel–Lindau disease which would need genetic testing if this is the case. That would include siblings and my children.

After the scan Saturday they will meet Thursday to discuss and as long as all still ok they want me to have a Whipple procedure (major abdominal surgery) to remove 40-50% of my pancreas with the tumour on. Then once healed/better from that go in for round 2 on the kidney. Craig

If there is anyone that would like to donate any amount that they can afford, it would help Craig and his family through this next year of ups and downs. It would be so helpful making it a bit easier and less stressful for Craig, having to not worry so much about how he is going to financially look after his family through out this process.
