Dear family and friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our sister Dominique Howe.
Dominique was first and foremost a mother, a daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She was well known to all and she would easily light up a room with her smile and infectious personality.
This tragic loss has not only impacted us as her family, but also everyone known to her.
Many may have not realised but, Dominique had been a fighter for all of her life where she fought sickle cell disease on a day to day basis along with Moya Moya disease, (thinning of veins in the brain). She also fought through multiple strokes and a previous brain hemorrhage. Through all this, Dominique was a strong advocate for Sickle Cell disease - through her work with B Positive Choir - raising awareness of the importance to give blood.
Unfortunately, five months ago, Dominique suffered a further brain hemorrhage which was so severe that it kept her hospitalised. Due to unexpected decline in her health, she suddenly passed away leaving behind her 10 month old son, Dimitri, who was only able to experience his mother’s love for 5 months of his life.
As a family, we are knitting together to continue to raise Dimitri. We are creating this page to ask for help to support him and his future. We all know it is hard to raise a little one. We would appriciate any help you could give.
It takes a village to raise a child. Please contribute what you can and help us to give Dimitiri a supported future.
Thank you.
