Hey There!
Thanks for clicking the link!
We are Laura and Aki, parents to our amazing little man, Sebastian.
For those of you that know us, you will know that Sebastian rocks and extra chromosome.
This extra chromosome means that we celebrate World Down syndrome Day on the 21st March and also Down Syndrome awareness week, which this year is the 15th- 21st March.
It also means we get to work with some amazing charities that support, promote and raise awareness for Down syndrome.
This year Aki and I have decided to try and raise a little pot of money for 2 Charities that are close to our hearts.
The first being PADS (Positive about Down syndrome).
This charity is simply wonderful and provides endless support, advice and resources for the whole family.
From potty training, to introducing your little one to nursery, makaton training, information packs, the list is endless and I could go on and on! https://positiveaboutdownsyndrome.co.uk/
The second being Small steps charity.
This charity provide the very best physios and conductive educators for children from 0-5 who are physically disabled.
For Sebastian the weekly sessions are invaluable and for us as parents, we’ve made friends and have received non stop support and advice from the amazing team.

So, what are we going to do to raise some Money?
Well, we were planning to get cycling now the weather is getting brighter but someone thought they were more deserving of our bikes and stole them! So instead, we are donning our running shoes and will be trying to cover 180km between us for the month of March.
This may not seem a lot to some, but with full-time work and a little dude waking at 5/5.30am every day, it takes some motivation to get out and do some exercise! (I’ve completed one run since November)!!
If you’ve got this far, thanks for sticking with me! We’d love for more to join our challenge too and together raise awareness for Down syndrome and these fantastic charities!!
I’m off to dust of my training gear and get cracking!
