This my friends... is about not only me, but about you, the average Canadian.
In 2018 the GLBI formula estimated that a Single Individual could receive up to $16,989 a year. For a Household it was $24,027.
In 2020 the GLBI formula estimated that a Single Individual could receive up to $18,329 a year. For a Household it was $24,922.
In 2022 the GLBI formula estimated that a Single Individual could receive up to $19,043 a year. For a Household it was $26,931.
It could have boosted an average family in Canada earning $90,000 a year with over $1,000 a month tax free.
Without changing Child Benefits or Retirement. Oh and no, there is no "Health care requirement" like a vaccine. So let's not go there.

There is a way out of this inflation mess, but our leaders skipped right past the report that had it all, and I'm here to remind them of that.

Why that is my Dashboard about GLBI and how many of the 1,216 MP/MPP/MLA/MNA/Senators in Canada have publicly said Yes or No to GLBI. It's a Google Sheets document, so if you have their app it's a better experience on a phone, but the computer version is like one big presentation about GLBI.

What am I fundraising for? Well, to pay for the expenses of my 2 websites For The Future and GLBI Forums, giving out mutual aid when I can to those in need, and I have dreams with this advocacy including expanding into print material...
I want to be able to send MPs, Senators, CEOs, Community leaders letters, that means supplies and postage.
Myself, I work for a living too, no I don't stay home and collect a cheque, in fact, I have been homeless 3 times in my life, and picked myself right back up, but guess what, reality is most people just can't do that... and we want to be able to access help just like the rest.
However our society keeps doing individual programs with income caps that are designed in the times of one job, and the 21st century isn't working out that way. 50% deductions need to be a thing of the past, because it's not about the claw back, it's about the amount of PEOPLE that aren't included.

I go deep, I'm on Twitter @CanadaBasic where over 7,000 tweets about GLBI are talking about points like Rent, Affordability, Tax Savings, Income Assistance Comparisons and more.
I have a resources page at forthefuture.ca/resources where you can find all sorts of stuff on Basic Income, budget links, rate sheets of current programs and more.
I have a petition up at forthefuture.ca/sign where I'm asking the government a new report.
