Hello! My name is Angelica Dennison, and I’m a Life Scout in Troop 10, Madrid, Spain. I’m currently working toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting.
For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I will be building a raised garden for people in wheelchairs at the Antonio Somalo Bernal Municipal Senior Center (Centro Municipal de Mayores Antonio Somalo Bernal) in Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain. This project will create an inclusive space where everyone — regardless of mobility — can experience the joy of gardening, learn about plants, and connect with nature.
Project Details
Project Title: Accessible Raised Garden Project
Location: Antonio Somalo Bernal Municipal Senior Center
The funds raised will go toward:
Lumber and materials for raised garden beds
Soil, plants, and gardening tools
Paint and sealant for weatherproofing
Any funds remaining after the project will be donated to the Antonio Somalo Bernal Municipal Senior Center to maintain and expand the garden.
Why This Project Matters
Gardening brings people together — it’s relaxing, educational, and deeply rewarding. Unfortunately, many gardens aren’t designed for individuals who use wheelchairs. By creating raised garden beds that are easy to reach and navigate, I hope to make gardening accessible to everyone and promote inclusion in our community.
This project represents years of dedication through Scouting, leadership, and service — and it’s a way for me to give back to Madrid in a meaningful, lasting way.
How You Can Help

Sharing this page with friends, family, and anyone who believes in making our world more inclusive.
Every donation — no matter how small — helps make this vision a reality. Thank you for helping me reach my goal and for supporting Scouting and community service!
Yours in Scouting,
Angelica Dennison
