Break It Down (Registered Charity No: 1153727) is fundraising to support the establishment of The FreshStart Studios, a grassroots creative studio delivering community-focused dance and engagement programmes in Wales.

Break it Down aims - in pursuit of its charitable objectives - to provide dance instruction to young people who would otherwise not be able to receive such services. The focus of the first year has been: developing models of operation and proposals for projects and funding; fundraising and the establishment of a website.

FreshStart Studios builds on decades of experience in hip-hop culture, youth work, and creative education. The studio will deliver structured breakin’ dance classes, targeted interventions, and inclusive creative workshops for children, young people, and adults.

The Fresh Start Programme is designed to:

Re-engage disengaged and home-educated young people, Improve confidence, discipline, and wellbeing

Provide positive pathways into education, employment, and creative practice

Funds raised will contribute towards venue costs, programme delivery, equipment, and subsidised places, allowing the studio to operate sustainably while remaining accessible.

Fresh Start Studios represents a long-term investment in people, culture, and community wellbeing across Wales.
