Bring Back the Flags to Bridgwater

Hey everyone,

I’m fundraising to help bring back the flags to Bridgwater after they were recently taken down by the council. These flags were originally put up as part of Operation Raise the Colours — a simple show of pride, unity, and community spirit.

Unfortunately, the council decided to remove them, saying they were divisive. But for many of us, the flags were never about division — they were about celebrating where we come from and standing together as a community.

We want to put them back up properly, with full transparency. Each flag costs around £4, and every penny donated will go directly towards buying 20 St George’s flags and 20 Union flags, plus cable ties and any small extras needed.

Our target is £150, and receipts will be shared publicly so everyone can see exactly where the money goes. We already have volunteers ready to help put them up once the funds are raised.
