raise rent for retiring mom and her freshman son

Hello there. My name is Danielle. I’m raising money for my mother and younger brother to have somewhere to live for the next year.

I’m currently working full time and try to help my family as much as possible with my salary, but I often can only afford to help with grocery and utility bills alongside my own living expenses.

My mother is a hardworking woman, who has dedicated years of her life to the same job. She managed to raise me and my brother on her own, but due to the pandemic and rising cost of living, she is facing extreme difficulty in paying rent. She has been denied and given the runaround for government assistance with paying the rent, which has caused her anxiety regarding her living situation for the future.

This would not only help to relieve the stress we are facing during this time, but would help immensely as this is my mother’s final year before retirement, where she plans to move out of NYC for a more affordable cost of living. This would also ease the stress on my younger brother so he can focus on his first year in college rather than worrying if they will be homeless. I am working to raise money for this year to relieve this financial burden for all of us.
