- I

Hi, my name is Ademilayo, and I’ll be turning 30 this year.
Instead of a party or gifts, I felt led to mark this milestone in a way that reflects the grace God has shown me throughout my life.
My dad passed away when I was just 3 months old, and my mummy (as I call her) has spent the last 30 years raising me and my older siblings on her own. Her strength, sacrifice, and unwavering faith have carried us through … and I want to honour her story — and God’s goodness to us over the years by giving to single parents households in Nigeria who are navigating life without a father, facing hardship, and in need of some support.
I’m a second-generation Nigerian, and recently I’ve felt a growing pull to reconnect with my roots and give back. I didn’t know how I wanted to spend my 30th and it was during that time of reflection that I felt led to combine the two: celebrating my mummy and giving back to my country.
So I’ll be travelling to Nigeria to support single mothers — especially widows — and fatherless children, in honour of the journey my mum and my siblings have walked together.
I had already set aside some of my own money for this, but I truly felt the Lord stirring something deeper in my heart …. like I needed to “make it bigger.” So I’m stepping out in faith to raise £5,000 to reach and bless more families in need.
If you’ve ever thought of getting me something for my birthday … this is it. Your support, no matter the amount, will help make a real difference in someone’s life.
ATM, £10 = N20,000 and that’s still a good amount to give to someone in need. So please please please give!! And give well ooo hahah. God bless you all ❤️❤️❤️
