Raise money to help support children in Africa

Hi my name is Elle and in August 2024 I am hoping to travel to Tanzania to volunteer and teach in a disadvantaged school. I have been teaching now for 2 years and I am am excited to embark on this new adventure where I know I can make a difference.

I believe that education can transform lives and break the cycle of poverty and inequality. Knowing that many children in African schools lack access to basic resources and opportunities, I am driven by a desire to bridge this gap and provide them with many tools they need to thrive. The school I will be visiting has busy classes of up to 50 students and the volunteers here have a huge impact on their education.

The lack of adequate resources, including classrooms, textbooks, trained teachers and learning materials, contributes to a challenging learning environment. The students at this school often struggle to access basic necessities like books and stationery, therefore hindering their ability to learn.

I am wanting to not only fundraise money for this trip, but to provide resources to help the children gain better access to education. I am unbelievably excited to take on this adventure and see what a difference I can make in the world!
