To help put down payment on a used car

Hi, my name is Lisa and I have been married to my husband for 22 years who became disabled about 3 years ago due to a work related fall and a car accident. He has had approximately 12 surgeries since then and other hospital stays due to pain. With me being in a car accident 3 weeks ago, being the other drivers fault and totalling our only car, I am left with trying to figure out how to get a more reliable car to travel to Chicago for his hospital visits. I work full time, and Itake care of him as needed. We live in a rural town and need to have transportation we can depend on. I have exhausted the car rental that we had, and I have found a car that would be ideal for us. I need a larger down payment to help with the payments to be where I can afford it.
