Hi my name is Krysta. I’m a single mom of two perfect girls (1.5 and 6 months) who faced her fear of filing for sole custody and child support from a man that hasn’t helped anything other than creating the babies. His delusions and irrational behavior left me fearful for our safety. We haven’t seen him in a year. Making no effort to meet his youngest daughter. He hasn’t responded to any child support summons but is now fighting my request of custody. I have to assume he is trying to get out of supporting the girls and I, with split time. Somehow he has come up with the money for an attorney on his end. Forcing me to do the same.

I have spent my last two years Rich with motherhood. But financially scarce. Unable to get any credit cards or loans. I am so scared, stressed, and intimidated to fight this battle alone. With the stakes so high. All attorneys I have spoken to warn me not to go into this alone.

A court appointed attorney is only available for criminal cases. I don’t qualify for any modest means/pro bono attorneys since we weren’t married and it wasn’t considered domestic violence.

I have no other options at this point other than to ask for help. To keep my girls with me, safe.
