Hi, my name is Jon and I volunteer as lifeboat crew for RNLI Happisburgh.
At the end of June, my friend Charlie and I will be attempting the Bob Graham Round, a gruelling challenge covering 106km and 8,500m of elevation across 42 of the highest peaks in the English Lake District… all within 24 hours.
We’ll tackle it together as a team, supporting each other across the route and giving everything we’ve got against one of the toughest endurance challenges in the UK.
The funds raised will go directly to help my lifeboat station in Happisburgh, Norfolk. The team is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who drop everything to help people they’ve never met, often in the worst moments of their lives.
This challenge is my way of giving something back. Every mile covered is for them, the crew who turn out without hesitation, the families who support them, and the people whose lives depend on what they do.
Whether we’re climbing through sunshine, rain, clouds, exhaustion, or sheer stubbornness, we’re doing it for a cause that means a huge amount to me.
Any support you can give will go directly towards helping the station continue its life-saving work.
**UPDATE** weather is looking good to start run at 8pm on Tuesday 23rd June - we'll have a live tracker activated at this time so everyone can see our progress by following this link: https://live.kongtracking.com/CJBG2026/
