Help to raise money for my Mum’s Care Home
Donation protected
As many people know, in Sept 2015 my Mum left for work one day and suffered from a very unexpected and severe brain haemorrhage which has left her needing nursing care ever since.
The care home which she has been in since she left hospital, are seeking contributions and donations to help provide more social activities/personal care for the patients.
Due to lack of funding and regular charitable donations, since covid, the patients have not been able to leave the care home for any trips out, they have nobody to provide personal care (hair cuts etc) to the residents as they cannot afford a hairdresser for all and any social entertainment within the care home itself.
Some patients aren’t lucky enough to have family like my Mum does so cannot rely on family members to contribute to purchases.
Equally, my family have found it heartbreaking for my mum who at the age of 55, has not been able to see outside of her care home in 4 years. It would really mean the world to her, us and the care home to let them have some kind of life again.
So, we really are looking for help to raise money to help the care home facilitate this and put a lot of smiles on the patients faces and definitely us family members too.
The donations will be used towards:
- Social trips to local facilities for disabled people
- Buying small Christmas/Birthday presents for the patients
- Buying personal care items eg shampoo/conditioner
- Buying ‘prize items’ for games with the patients such as bingo
If anybody would be kind enough to spare a few pounds & even pennies - we would be eternally grateful.
Thank You & Lots of Love to any Donators
