Raise money for a Powerboat to train Sea Cadets
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of EASTBOURNE UNIT 117 OF THE SEA CADET CORPS and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
The Sea Cadets is a charity and youth organisation and we can only survive with public support. Many cadets come from underprivileged or deprived backgrounds and the work we do is immensely valuable in giving the cadets an opportunity to not just have adventure at Sea, but also get vital qualifications and skills to help them move forward in their lives.
This year, Eastbourne Sea Cadets has just been granted RYA status and this means we can officially train Sea Cadets and issue recognised qualifications in boating. This is a HUGE step. However, we need a powerboat to train the cadets in and also work as a safety boat for when the cadets are sailing. Powerboats are expensive to purchase and even with supplier discounts, we expect a new fully equipped powerboat to cost £60,000. As a unit, we simply don’t have this money and this is why we are asking for your help.. every pound and penny matters. Even if we raise a portion of this, we will be able to purchase a second hand boat, so any help will be gratefully appreciated.
thank you for your support,
