This is the owner of Ashburn Stoves / Hamish's in Blacko. Since taking over the Moorcock we have had a number of medical emergencies from passing motorist, cyclists, walkers and our customers. We have a number of staff that are first aiders and are trained in CPR. After the most recent emergency, without the prompt response from our staff, an off duty trauma nurse and a first responder there could have been a very different outcome. We, along with the medical professionals, have identified the urgent need for a fully automatic defibrillator to be fitted at our property, Moorcock House in Blacko. This incident has shown even more reason to have this equipment to hand in order to save someone’s life. We propose the defibrillator to be fitted to the porch, where we can run power to it. This will allow it to be accessed by passers-by, neighbouring properties as well as any visitors to our businesses.

Any surplus funds will be donated to the Heart Foundation.
