Raising funds for Jamie’s Sanctuary
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Leon and I am fundraising for Jamie’s Sanctuary. A charity set up to combat Addiction, mental health and suicide ideation. Jamie’s Sanctuary was founded after one of my close friends Jamie took his own life due to addiction and mental health, this caused rippling devastation throughout our community and was one of the driving factors in me beginning my journey in sobriety.
In Jamie’s legacy, Debbieanne (his mother) set out to help other young people who are fighting the same silent battles—struggling with mental health, addiction, and suicidal thoughts.
Jamies Sanctuary now run a weekly drop-in service at our local community centre in Whitburn, West Lothian, where we partner with dedicated professionals to provide a safe space for young people aged 18-28 to seek support, guidance, and hope. Our group is growing every week, and we’ve already witnessed so many incredible success stories. But with this growth comes the need for more resources to continue making a real difference.
We’re not a registered charity and rely solely on fundraising to keep this vital service going.
I will be running the marathon in memory of Jamie and to give back to Jamie’s Sanctuary for providing a safe place for myself and others alike who struggle with addiction and mental health daily!
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance team x
