Hi my name is Nicole, I am the Founder of Amilia Studios in Horsforth, Leeds.

I am raising funds this Christmas for two special charities that do incredible work for children in need.

Zarach: Zarach are working hard to end child bed poverty.

Too many children are going to bed sleeping on the floor, in crowded beds shared with siblings, or other makeshift sleeping arrangements. In short, they are living in bed poverty. This affects their health, education, and overall wellbeing. Their mission is to end child bed poverty, helping children get a good night’s sleep, and the chance to thrive at school.

Providing a bed alone won’t end child bed poverty in England. They want to support children and families to rise from surviving to thriving so when they need beds again, they don’t need Zarach.

This Christmas, the money Zarach raise will help them reach even more families in crisis. It will fund the delivery of complete bed bundles (beds, mattresses, bedding, and pyjamas) alongside tailored family support. Every donation will help children get a good night’s sleep, attend school ready to learn, and give parents the support they need to build brighter futures, take control of their wellbeing and be more financially independent.

Action for Children: Action for children are working hard to keep vulnerable children safe.

Their vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Action for Children step in to help children when they are experiencing, Poverty, Violence, or Abuse.

They also support children with disabilities, children in Foster and care, Children experiencing neglect and children who become young carers.

They give young people the support they need to grow up safe and happy.

They advocate for children in many things that affect their lives, they listen to what they want. They take their concerns to the government and campaign for better support and resources.
