Our Store Manager James B and Travel Advisor James E are walking a near 17 mile circular route from Lancaster to Morecambe and back to Lancaster. This is to raise funds for our local Primary School Heyhouses Endowed Church of England to help enhance the outdoor provision for their children. At Heyhouses Endowed CofE Primary School we understand that a child’s mental health extends beyond the classroom environment. Supporting a child’s mental health through play is crucial, not only for their overall well being and development, but it provides a safe space for children to express their emotions, develop social skills as well as promoting effective language and communication. It also fosters creativity, problem solving and confidence. At Heyhouses we have a plan in place to develop our outdoor provision. We have already installed a multi-gym, but our vision is to extend this further with mud kitchens, cycle tracks and climbing apparatus, to name a but a few! We have extremely close links to the wider community through The Coastal Collective charity, which supports local residents through The Pod, located on our school grounds, as well as children across Lytham St Annes. With your support and generosity, we are hoping to continue our journey of providing these essential outdoor experiences to all our children.
