Hi everyone,
I’m writing this to raise awareness about a heartbreaking incident that has befallen my young brother, Furkan Colak. On August 12th, he lost a massive $60,000 to a scam. I’ve attached a news article that provides more details about how the scam unfolded.
It’s absolutely devastating to see my brother go through this. He’s a hardworking tradie who rarely ventures out and is deeply family-oriented. He loves spending time with his family, his dog, going to the gym and going to the mosque. Furkan has worked incredibly hard as a concreter, waking up at 4 am every day, six days a week. He’s poured his heart and soul into building our dream home for our family and a gift for my parents, who have been renting for 16 years. After years of dedication, Furkan was finally close to achieving his dream of building his parents a home. However, just as he was on the brink of success, his world was shattered by this devastating scam.
