Hi, I’m Jess and this campaign is incredibly close to my heart.

Seven years ago, I found myself in a refuge over Christmas with my children after fleeing domestic abuse. It was the scariest, loneliest, and most uncertain time of my life. I learnt, whilst in there, that Christmas dinners in refuges are not a given.

Now that I’m safe, I’ve made it my mission to never forget the women who come after me and to make sure they know they’re not alone.

This Christmas, I’m asking for your help to provide supermarket food vouchers for women and their children currently living in refuges. A voucher might seem small, but to someone trying to rebuild from nothing, it can mean a hot meal, a little comfort, and a bit of normality in the middle of chaos.

Even a £1 donation can make a difference.

I’m also running a second year campaign on Instagram to fill 150 gift bags with thoughtful presents and personal care items for women in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire refuges (and beyond if we get enough!).
